A DVD from BBC Video that gives us the surviving footage from Series 1 and then the shows from Series 2. Don't forget that prior to these shows M&W were on ITV for many years, so the style here is fully developed.
The verdict is that this material has worn very well indeed and is very funny. The comic timing is superb and totally outclasses everything else from its era. Comprehensively outclasses.
