An undated hardback with black and white plates, written by Morley Adams.
This started off very well for me, being a virtually identical repeat of what Sue and I did when we went to Suffolk on our self-designed "FitzGerald Trail." As far as I can deduce this version was written in the 1920s or 1930s, based on the style of the book and its images.
Later it deviates into all sorts of areas, basically at the author's whim. Suffolk tales, superstitions, old wives' cures, lost villages claimed by the sea, all at random and fortunately quite entertaining. Sometimes in a bizarre sort of way.
A good read if you have any interest in Suffolk and Norfolk, or in those two authors Borrow and FitzGerald.
