Another great series, Wednesday is of course based on a character from The Addams Family, but no knowledge of that is required. It is a dark, amusing and very stylish set of 10 episodes. Hopefully there will be a series 2.
It reminded me very much of the production values of the "new" Sabrina, which bore little resemblance to the harmless but thin TV series of the 1970s. Sabrina was adult, dark and also very, very stylish.
There is always a temptation to think that TV has been dumbed down and, although in many cases it might be so, there are plenty of highly accomplished, entertaining and also intelligent productions around.
