Our Day Will Come (Private Stock, 1976)

This album arrived out of the blue, produced by Meddress-Appell Productions, "for a change" as Bob Gaudio told me.
There are some excellent tracks on this, but it probably ends up as one of the lesser known offerings. Probably the worst thing is the production, which although technically very proficient seems a bit mechanical and has Frankie's voice too far down in the mix. Stage performances of the songs were more upfront and better.
Nonetheless, very enjoyable and Frankie was clearly in good voice for the recordings. It just isn't allowed to come forwards enough and leaves us slightly straining as we reach into the music for the vocals.
