Romancing the 60s (Motown, 2007)

Some years have now passed, but the stage show Jersey Boys has been a smash success. Universal Records asked Frankie to make an album of covers of 1960s material of his choice. Along with partner Bob Gaudio as producer and stage Musical Director Robby Robinson as Assistant producer, this is an incredibly fine album.
Frankie is now 73 years old so the vocals are not as strong and pure as they were, but the whole album oozes with feeling and is a joyful revisiting of some fine songs.
Highly recommended.
