We saw him live at the MEN Arena in 2007 and can report that he was in superb voice and put in a fantastic performance. If that sounds a little blunt and uninspiring it's because although the performance was spot on I think his presentation and stage presence left a bit to be desired. It gets a bit wearing to be reminded that whatever we paid, much more than last time he was here by the way, then we were really conned because we were about a million miles away. Thanks, Billy, we know it's a big arena and that tickets are expensive.
Actually the venue is IMHO rubbish - far too big for the audience to see properly and very, very dangerous in its design. If a fire broke out there then thousands of people would be basically doomed.
So basically a musically perfect but uninspired show.
